Core Principles
Our Core Principles
The Bible
The Bible is the final authority for determining our purposes, structures and activities:
2nd Timothy 3:16
Luke 4:4
Salvation
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No ordinances, rituals, works, or any other activities on the part of man is required or accepted for salvation. This saving grace of God through the power of the Holy Spirit also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight, that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ.
John 1:12-14
John 3:16
John 6:37-44
The Man
Humanity (male and female) was originally created in the image of God, righteous, and without sin but as a consequence of disobedience, all persons are sinners both in nature and by choice, and therefore spiritually dead, justly condemned as children of wrath in the sight of God wholly unable to save themselves.
Genesis 1:1-3
Psalms 51:5
Isaiah 53:5-6
Romans 3:9-17
God
Only one true God who manifest himself in three persons:
- God The Father
- God The Son
- God The Holy Spirit
Evil
Unfortunately, we are faced daily with the facts of evil in our world. Satan was originally a great and good angel, but he rebelled against God, taking a multitude of angels with him. He was cast out of God’s presence and is now at work with his demonic hosts trying to establish a counter-kingdom of darkness, evil, and unrest on the earth. Satan was judged and defeated at the cross of Jesus Christ and will be cast forever into the lake of fire which has been prepared for him and his demons.
Isaiah 14:10-17
Ezekiel 28:11-17
Matthew 12:25-29
The Church
The Church is a community of redeemed people worldwide under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, who meet regularly to worship, be disciples, partakers of sacraments, fellowships and carrying out the great commission together. There are other Christian principles that we above and hold dear to our faith. They are mentioned elsewhere in our church documents.
